What is Guardian?
Guardian is Sunnyside's safety framework for protecting healthy relationships. It's built into everything we do—from meetups and online spaces to moderation, privacy, and family support—so children can connect in a healthier environment.
Parental controls limit what children can access. Guardian focuses on the environment they're entering. Instead of relying only on filters or screen restrictions, we create spaces designed around trust, human moderation, healthy culture, and verified families.
We combine multiple layers of protection, including verified families, active human moderation, clear community standards, privacy-first policies, and real parent involvement. Together, these form our Social Immune System™ for protecting healthy relationships.
Guardian focuses on prevention first, but when problems arise we act quickly. Depending on the situation, this may include guidance, intervention, temporary restrictions, or removal from the community. Our goal is always to protect healthy relationships for everyone.
