Our mission is to fight isolation and we do that by helping homeschoolers find each other.

Nope! We're not a school. But we work with them. We don't issue diplomas or grades. We're the social layer that makes homeschooling more fun, connected, and meaningful.

Sunnyside is for families learning outside the traditional school model. That includes:

• Full-time and part-time homeschoolers

• Unschoolers, worldschoolers, and independent learners

• Hybrid or distance learners with home-based flexibility

• Families following alternative approaches like Waldorf or Charlotte Mason

If school means home (not a classroom), then you’re in the right place.

From micro hangouts to monster events—Sunnyside offers experiences built to un-lonely your homeschooling journey.

We host games, field trips, concerts, tournaments, picnics, outdoor sports & adventures, birthday parties, life coaching, real-world clubs, and so much more (it won’t even fit here 😄).

We’re also building tools to make homeschooling easier, and family life feel happier @ home.

Yes—you may also join free online hangouts, workshops, and occasional in-person events and see if it feels like home.

Most events have a small fee, but joining the community won’t cost a thing.

Our Sunnyside chat servers on the other hand, are free until June 2026.

Most events and programs are priced individually, so you can pick what fits your budget and lifestyle. Some families go all-in, others choose a few things. It’s totally up to you.

Yes! You’re welcome to come hang out or support at one of our public events—especially big adventure-style ones like SideQuest. These events are full of community energy, and often allow space for guests to watch or cheer on their friends.

Some events, like luncheons or private sessions, aren’t open for observation—so check the event details before heading out. If you want to fully join in, a ticket is usually required.

Yes! We take safety seriously. All official events are supervised by trained facilitators, with on-site staff, travel insurance for field trips, and designated security when needed.

We're building toward a future where parents can push a button to see where their child is, livestream ongoing activities, and receive real-time updates. Teens also have dedicated support spaces and optional adult check-ins.
