StarJam is the music journey of Sunnyside. It is where students learn from experts, take on quests, and progress from learning an instrument to becoming a performer.

A Rare Partnership: SoundsKradle x Sunnyside

This is a first for the community. Sunnyside is joining forces with Sounds Kradle to bring premium music education to homeschool families around the world.

Sounds Kradle brings 20+ years of music and teaching expertise. Together, we’re building a music pathway for homeschoolers—bringing Filipino musical talent to the world stage.

Music Meets Mentorship

This is the heartbeat of SoundsKradle. Founded in 2012 by Reginald and Kimberly Tan, Sounds Kradle is built on more than 20+ years of musical experience, education, and practice.

StarJam FAQs

  • StarJam is designed for homeschool students who want to develop their musical skills through professional instruction and a broader music experience.

    It is open to Kids, Tweens, Teens, and Young Adults, with the journey adapting to their age, experience, interests, and goals.

    Whether your child is picking up an instrument for the first time or already has musical experience, StarJam gives them room to start where they are and keep developing from there.

  • No.

    StarJam can start with the fundamentals. Students can learn an instrument, build their technique, develop consistent practice habits, and gradually take on more challenging musical experiences.

    More experienced students can also enter with an existing foundation and continue developing their craft.

    The important thing is not where they start. It's where they choose to take their music.

  • StarJam currently offers access to:

    Availability depends on instructor availability and schedule.

    Students can choose the instrument that interests them and select the lesson format that works for their family.

  • Yes.

    StarJam offers both online and face-to-face lesson options, depending on the instrument, instructor, and schedule.

    Online lessons make professional music instruction accessible from home—without a Manila address, long commute, or the need to reorganize your homeschool day around a music school.

    Face-to-face lessons are available where applicable for families who prefer in-person instruction.

    The Sounds Kradle Music Studio is in Quezon City.

  • No.

    The three-year roadmap is the pathway StarJam has designed, not a three-year commitment that families have to purchase or complete.

    Each year builds toward the next stage of musical development—from building the musician, to developing the performer, to working toward major performance opportunities.

    Your child can join, grow, take what they need from the journey, and decide how far they want to go.

    We build the road. They decide where their music takes them.

  • No.

    Performances are opportunities for students to apply what they've learned, not requirements that every student must complete.

    StarJam may include Live Jams, recitals, performance opportunities, and eventually the StarJam Concert. Sounds Kradle recitals are subject to their own eligibility, readiness, scheduling, and participation requirements. Participation is optional and may carry a separate fee.

    As students develop, they can choose how much they want to participate in performance experiences.

  • StarJam goes beyond the music lesson.

    Depending on the applicable package and availability, the experience may include professional Sounds Kradle instruction, Music Quests, collaboration with other young musicians, Live Jams, Meet-a-Musician experiences, studio visits, music-program exploration, Artist Profiles, Member Spotlights, certificates, and other StarJam experiences.

    The idea is simple: Sounds Kradle teaches the music. Sunnyside builds the world around it.

    Together, the two create a longer pathway where students don't just take music lessons—they get opportunities to learn, practice, create, perform, and discover where music can take them.
