Gen—or Genesis, if you want to add 2 more syllables— spends his time collecting the things that often get overlooked—people, ideas, and the quiet signals that others might miss. Having grown up between his mother’s deep kindness and his father’s tough truths, he learned early on that the best things in life are those that give more than they take.

Sunnyside didn’t start with a strategy; it started at home—watching his own daughter navigate the highs and lows of homeschooling and witnessing the heavy weight of isolation firsthand. The moment he saw a group of teens finally feel "at home" together, the purpose clicked: unlonely the journey.

Grounded, autistic, and openly imperfect, Gen builds with more heart than polish. He’s a non-swimmer and a non-cyclist who is probably a bit too blunt for his own good, but he believes authenticity connects us faster than a perfect resume ever could. He builds Sunnyside on the "Lugaw Life" model—warm, nourishing, and best shared with others.
