TheaterKid
Performing Arts Program
TheaterKid is the performing arts program of Sunnyside. It is the place where students find their voice on the stage and build trust through the power of theater.
A Historic Partnership: PETA x Sunnyside
This is a first for our community. Sunnyside—the social village for homeschooling families —is joining forces with the legends of the Philippine stage to bring professional theater to our village.
PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Association) has been the heartbeat of national drama since 1967. Together, we are building a world-class theater track specifically for the homeschool world.
Transform Through Theater
This is the heartbeat of the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA). A recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay Award, PETA has spent over 50 years proving that the stage is the ultimate laboratory for the human spirit.
The Integrated Approach: Moving beyond acting, PETA blends drama, writing, and movement to cultivate "fully actualized human beings."
The Artist-Teacher: Students are mentored by masters who use theater to liberate creative power, sharpen critical thinking, and build empathy.
The Sunnyside Bridge: By bringing PETA’s professional discipline into the Sunnyside Village, we merge world-class theater with a judgment-free laboratory.
-
The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) is the country's premier theater institution and a recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asia’s Nobel Peace Prize).
-
For over 50 years, PETA has defined Filipino theater. They are the powerhouse behind hits like Rak of Aegis, specializing in turning students into professional-grade Artist-Teachers.
-
We don't just want "acting coaches." We want the gold standard. Your child will be mentored by the same directors and artists who shape the national stage, ensuring world-class discipline and craft.

The journey culminates in a Grand Showcase—a professional-grade production where the 25-person ensemble performs their original work.
